How to add a newsletter signup box on your Facebook Timeline

How to add a newsletter signup box on your Facebook pageAre you using Facebook to drive more traffic to your website and grow your business? One of the first things that I did when I started Launch Grow Joy was to set up a Facebook business page to start building a community. At first, most of my LIKES came from people who were already on my list. But as my Page started to grow and get more likes, I realized that many of my new followers were not already on my list – they found me directly through Facebook!

So I decided to “spruce up” my Facebook marketing efforts and my goal became to get my new Facebook fans to sign up for my newsletter and I began to use Facebook to grow my list. After a bit of research, I discovered that there is an easy way to add a newsletter signup box on your Facebook Timeline, so I recorded a quick video to show you how to do it, too!

Wasn’t that easy? I’d love to know if you were able to follow the steps and add your own newsletter signup box on your Facebook Timeline page. Just leave a comment below with the link where it appears.

Funny enough, I got two signups within five minutes of adding this to my FB page!

You give the best tips, Andreea! I can’t wait to do this for my new website and newsletter when I re-launch soon. Thanks so much and lots of love.

HI thank you for this video, may I know where you found the html code from though? I use mailchimp and can’t find any information about how to get any kind of html code from them for this? thank you

I was doing fine until I got to the html code part. I have no clue how to find the code for my website’s sign-up widget (it’s a template-based site which does not show me what the actual code is). Too bad, I was really hoping to able to add this tab to my FB Page. :-(

Anastasia, who do you use for your email service provider? You should be able to get it directly from there

that was great, nice video, thanks.

I don’t know what html code to use either. Do I use the one from feedburner that I used to add a subscribe box to my blog or do I use a code from gmail which is where I get my email directed to? I don’t use mailchimp. Also, in your video it shows that when you click on the edit tab I see that you already have some html there where you highlight the first block. I don’t have any html showing at all when I get to that point.

Help me?

Cheryl

Cheryl, what do you use to collect email addresses for your email list (outside of feedburner)? That’s where you would get your code from.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! It WAS easy with your help!
